Doctor Gary J. Merlino is a South Florida native who earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of South Florida and a Bachelor of Science Degree from Florida International University. In 1992, he obtained a Doctorate degree in Osteopathic Medicine from Southeastern University of the Health Sciences (now Nova Southeastern). Dr. Merlino completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach in 1996 and co-founded Primary Care Physicians Group, establishing it as a leading Internal Medicine practice in Miami Beach. He is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians - American Society of Internal Medicine and the American College of Osteopathic Internists. Dr. Merlino is also Director of Medical Education Osteopathic Internal Medicine Residency Program at Mount Sinai Medical Center and Assistant Dean of Clinical Studies at Nova Southeastern University, College of Osteopathic Medicine.
