About Dr. Steven J Melnick:

Doctor Steven Melnick serves as the Principal Investigator and Medical Director of the Nicklaus Children’s Biobank (NCB), overseeing all aspects of the project and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. He has a background in Physics and Chemical Physics with a Ph.D. from McGill University and completed residency training in Pathology at Mount Sinai Medical Center. Dr. Melnick is currently the Chief of the Department of Pathology and Clinical Laboratories at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital and has established a research program in cell and molecular biology with a focus on cancer research and ethnobotanical drug discovery.
