Doctor Andrew Sherman graduated from the University of Buffalo School of Medicine in 1993, he then did his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at University of Washington School of Medicine in 1997, followed by a fellowship in sports medicine/spine rehabilitation in 1998 at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Medical Center. He is also a Professor and Vice Chair of Education in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He specializes in spine, sports, neuromuscular, and musculoskeletal disorders, and performs interventional spine procedures, therapeutic injections, and electrodiagnostic testing. He has founded several programs and organizations in the field of PM&R, including the PM&R Residency program and the MSK section of "Knowledge Now" affiliated with the American Academy of PM&R. He also serves on multiple national PM&R committees and has published many peer-reviewed abstracts, journal articles, and book chapters.
