Doctor Regina Melchor is a fellowship-trained psycho-oncologist and consultation/liaison psychiatrist who provides outpatient individual psychotherapy, psychological assessment, consultation, psycho-education, and treatment for psychiatric disorders and emotional conditions in cancer patients. She also provides inpatient consultation/liaison services for cancer patients in the context of palliative care. Dr. Melchor specializes in the comprehensive psychological care and treatment of cancer patients and their families, working closely with the healthcare team to integrate knowledge about adjustment to site-specific cancers and treatments. She is an Assistant Professor at Florida International University’s Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine and is involved in several professional organizations, including the American Psychosocial Oncology Society and the International Psychosocial Oncology Society.
