About Dr. Alan Pollack:

Doctor Alan Pollack is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Radiation Oncology at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. His clinical and research interests are in the management of prostate and bladder cancers, and he has published several papers on biomarkers that predict response to radiation therapy. He is also the lead PI on a national prostate cancer post-prostatectomy radiotherapy trial that successfully reached the accrual goal of over 1700 men. Dr. Pollack has led efforts to bring proton therapy to Sylvester and has been funded by the NCI for his quantitative imaging research on men with prostate cancer. In addition to seeing his patients and students, he is also the interim deputy director at Sylverster Comprehensive Cancer Center and service chief in raditation oncology at University of Miami Hospitals and Jackson Memorial Hospital. Dr. Pollack graduated from University of Maimi Miller School of Medicine in 1987 and did his residency in raditation oncology at University of Texas in 1992.
